More than just a marine carrier, NEAS is a reliable economic link between Canada's Arctic and the world.
Headquartered in Iqaluit, NEAS is majority owned by local Inuit Birthright Corporations. Our shareholders include Qikiqtaaluk Corporation and Sakku Investments Corporation from the Nunavut Territory, and Makivik Corporation from Nunavik. This group of controlling shareholders is joined by Transport Nanuk, a Canadian marine carrier which has operated in the North for more than half a century.
NEAS is a local Inuit alternative to traditional shipping services. NEAS offers ice-class vessels sailing under the Canadian flag and adapted to conditions in the Arctic. Above all, NEAS is a shipping company committed to customers as its first priority.
